BNP Paribas named World’s Best Bank for Markets 2026
BNP Paribas has been named World’s Best Bank for Markets 2026 at the Euromoney Markets Awards.
In its assessment, Euromoney noted that it rewards progress over the review period rather than size, concluding that “on that test no bank did more in 2025.”
The recognition comes during a challenging period for clients, when the bank is helping them navigate geopolitical developments and trade tensions contributing to uncertainty and volatility across global markets.

With deep roots in Europe and a longstanding presence across the Americas and APAC, BNP Paribas continues to connect clients across regions, helping them access liquidity and market intelligence as conditions change.

To be recognised as the World’s Best Bank for Markets is an exceptional achievement. Above all, I would like to thank our clients for the trust they continue to place in BNP Paribas. I would also like to congratulate our teams around the world, whose commitment and hard work have made this win possible.
Olivier Osty, deputy COO of BNP Paribas Group and CEO of BNP Paribas CIB

In a year that has been extremely challenging for our clients, who are facing incredible uncertainty and volatility, to be given the title of World’s Best Bank for Markets is particularly meaningful. BNP Paribas’ focus is always on better serving our clients across the franchise. Achievements like this are fantastic recognition of everyone’s work across the markets ecosystem and will encourage us all to raise that level of service even further.
Conor Davis, Head of Institutional Sales and Investors

Supporting clients through changing markets
BNP Paribas has continued to develop its Global Markets business in response to evolving client needs. Its Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities activities have been brought more closely together, alongside its Global Equities business.
The bank has also evolved its approach to Institutional Sales, helping clients access capabilities across asset classes and regions.
Global Markets reported record annual results at the end of 2025, up 9.1% year-on-year. Since 2020, revenues have grown at a compound annual growth rate of more than 7%.
Reflecting on BNP Paribas’ performance during a period of market volatility, Euromoney noted that the bank “met the April market shock with liquidity rather than retreat.”
Being named World’s Best Bank for Markets recognizes the contribution of teams across BNP Paribas Global Markets and their continued focus on supporting clients as markets evolve. This follows the recent news that BNP Paribas was named Derivatives House of the Year: Europe and Asia, among several other wins at the GlobalCapital Derivatives Awards 2026.
