Influential thinkers gather to discuss the future of the markets

Some of the world's key decision-makers gathered to discuss the future of the markets and the challenges we face – at BNP Paribas' Global Market Conference.

Participants in capital markets face a changing world; shifting geopolitical alignments, an evolving trade environment, and rapidly advancing technology are just a few factors creating opportunities for growth, and challenges to navigate.

At the 3rd annual BNP Paribas Global Markets Conference in London, over 450 attendees, including corporate and institutional clients of the bank, gathered to hear from leaders in fields as diverse as global politics, economics, investment, sustainability and digital growth, to share ideas, and gain timely insight into the topics that are redefining the industry.

Speakers at the event included John Kerry, former US Secretary of State; Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy;  Lawrence Summers, whose former roles included US Treasury Secretary, Director of the National Economic Council and President of Harvard University; Daniela Schwarzer, Director of the German Council on Foreign Relations; and leading experts from BNP Paribas’ Markets 360 Strategy & Economics team.
